At some point you just need to get your gear and get out into the world. They say that the learning comes in the doing. I was completely surprised at how much fun it actually was. Way cool!
These pictures were an excuse to try out how well our equipment works out in the real world. There’s a lot of room to grow but it was a great place to start. No one has found their special niche yet and for the time being, we’re just trying everything.
The sidewalks of Milwaukee offer an endless variety of settings for that special mood, fashion or story. It was great having so much stimulation all around us. Being able to easily move around unlocks the entire city as the studio. We’re definitely going to do more of this and get it down to a science of art.
There’s a great park in Grafton, Wisconsin called “Covered Bridge Park.” We got there just ahead of a wedding party. I can understand why this would be a favorite spot for wedding portraits. It’s an absolutely beautiful little park and it’s definitely going on our list of preferred location sites.
