It was an unusually warm February day in Germantown, WI. The temperature was close to 40°F and the wind was being merciful. So off we went to Milwaukee to see the ships parked in the harbor and anything else we could find of interest.
When we arrived, I was struck by the bleak sky which cast that light only winter can produce.
At the lakeshore, the wind found us but we were determined to look around and see what was there.
Floating empty and high in the water these ships looked really big and seemed like silent juggernauts waiting for a chance at open water.
So I thought it was time to see if I could show the day for what it was. The clouds were moving in the opposite direction of the smoke and caused a slight illusion of vertigo when looking through the viewfinder.
While locked in my world of subjective expression, my wife was noticing the life that was going on around us!
I couldn’t help but feel like there was some kind of insect sneaking up on the city in this view.
This would seem like a really lonely post.
Good job!!!! Glad to be part of this day.
